We treasure children at Woodmont Christian Church! We offer a number of opportunities for children and their families to deepen their spiritual connections with God and each other, including:

  • Children’s Sunday School (Sundays, 9:30 AM).
    • Our day begins with a “Children’s Moment” in the Sanctuary at 9:30 worship. Then, we head downstairs to the Kids Commons, where children age 2 through grade 5 are invited to join us for fun learning experiences. Whether it’s Blessed Beginnings for the 2's and 3's, Godly Play for the 4's, 5's, and Kindergartners, or ChristQuest for the 1st-5th graders, we use hands-on lessons to teach budding Christians great stories in the Bible, and how to build relationships with others and with God.
  • Children’s Church (Sundays, 11:00 AM).
    • Children ages 3-11 learn about worship in an age-appropriate setting modeled after “Big Church.” The hour also includes Bible-themed crafts and activities.
  • Children’s and Cherub Choirs. (Practices Sundays, 10:25-10:45AM)
    • Children, age 3-grade 5 are invited to join the Woodmont Cherub/Children’s Choirs. We practice each Sunday between worship services; meanwhile, parents can enjoy coffee, refreshments and fellowship in our Kids Commons! The choirs perform several times during the year in worship and for community groups, such as retirement homes.
  • JYF /Five Star Dinners. (Wednesday evenings)
    • Junior Youth Fellowship, for ages 4-grade 5, meets Wednesdays from 6:15-7:15. JYF follows our popular “Five Star Dinners,” informal and catered dinners held in Woodmont’s Fellowship Hall. Dinner is available starting at 5:45 PM and draws many young families! Kids work on crafts, community service projects, and more, while parents attend one of our Wednesday evening classes or simply fellowship with each other.
  • Parent’s Groups.
    • Parent “Night’s Out” occur each month with free childcare provided. Each event welcomes new participants at any time for food, fun, fellowship and support. Also, a “Mom’s Email Group” keeps everyone informed about everything going on at Woodmont.
  • Other Programs include
    • Walk Through Bethlehem,
    • Vacation Bible School,
    • Bethany Hills Summer Camps,
    • Baby Dedications,
    • Easter Egg Hunt,
    • a “Disciples Class” for fifth graders preparing for Church membership, and
    • various other kid/parent activities offered throughout the year.

There are many other opportunities for families to connect with God and each other at Woodmont. We would be happy to tell you more about them or answer any questions you might have.
