Family Ministry at Woodmont

Woodmont Christian Church is a place that values families and their faiths in such a profound way. The greatest gift parents can give their children is a church home that will love, support, share the gospel faith, and have fun together! Woodmont is committed to surrounding families with parenting support, marriage enrichment, single parent support, and programs for the kids and parents that will have everyone screaming, “We want more Woodmont!

Woodmont is committed to growing with your family every step of the way! We have opportunities for connection, spiritual growth, and fun for our mom’s and dad’s, activities for families to deepen friendships with other families, and programs that are sure to model to your children what it means to be a Christian living in the 21st century! It is so important in this day that we provide a safe, loving, nurturing, and especially joyful environment for our families to be the best they can be within the walls of our beautiful church but also out into the world! All families are welcome and I can promise you that it only takes one family event at Woodmont and your family will be all smiles and excited about being a part of the Woodmont Family!!

Please join us for some of the exciting things happening every day at Woodmont:

• Mom’s Night Out:
  Please join us the first Monday night of every month for dinner! We will enjoy each other’s homes or try a local restaurant and have time for conversation, spiritual nourishment, and time away from the hustle and bustle of our family lives and responsibilities. This is YOUR time as mom’s to share stories, make new friends, and deepen your faith! Childcare is provided at the Church!
• Family Outreach:
  We participate in many outreach projects in the Nashville community and across the globe! We prepare and serve breakfast to the children at the Ronald McDonald House, drive the Loaves and Fishes Truck and serve meals to the homeless, and support our fellow women at Magdalene! Our families adopt children living in Guatemala and provide shoes and coats for children in Nashville during the cold months! Woodmont is committed to giving families the chance to make a profound difference in the lives of others!
• Family Five Star Dinners:
  We would like to invite you and your family to take the night off from cooking and join us for a yummy dinner, live music, and much fellowship! The children will be blessed by fun Christian focused programs led by Trey Flowers, and you will have the opportunity to take a class, listen to famous speakers on theology, parenting, and marriage, and have one hour that you can focus on your own faith journey!
• Fabulously Free Fridays:
  During the month of December, drop the kids off, grab dinner, and do some much needed Christmas shopping and we will keep your kiddos happy! We just may make this a regular thing!
• Divorce Care:
  We provide pastoral care, counseling, and resources to focus on healing families that are struggling through divorce. We invite well-known speakers, counselors, financial and legal experts to help support families going through this difficult transition.
• Marriage Check-in & Check-up:
  Most of us have not checked back in with our minister after our initial pre-marital counseling. It is so important as we grow as individuals, take on the responsibilities of being parents, and meet the challenges of our professional lives to check-in on our communication skills, our personal needs, our frustrations all along the way! We offer FREE sign-ups to meet with one of the ministers to check-in on your marriages!
• Parenting Seminar:
  We host some of the leading experts on Parenting! It is a great way to gain wisdom, encouragement, and new ways to improve our job as parents!
• Family Outings: There is nothing more fun than meeting up with your family for a hike at Radnor Lake, a Sounds Baseball game, or a Family Movie night in the yard! Woodmont is always looking for fun activities for families to do together!
• Small Groups: Woodmont believes in the rewards of small groups. It is a time to form deeper relationships and make connections with other individuals who share your same interests. We have small groups for the different ages of your children, yoga groups, running groups, book clubs, and much more!
